Geoinformatics 2010 Successfully Held


In the effort of organization team and PC committee, Geoinformatics 2010 was successfully held on June 18-20, 2010 in Peking University, Beijing China. Thanks all friends, reviewers, and authors for your support. We wish to receive your support for our next-year conference Geoinformatics 2011 in Shanghai.

The Easychair paper submission has been reopen. Authors may submit your updated full paper from now. We will check the final version of your full paper on July 10, 2010. ONLY papers satisfied to IEEE format requirements will be published and indexed by EI.



Welcome to GeoInformatics 2010!


The local organizating committee for GeoInformatics 2010 welcomes your participation in the 18th international conference on Geoinformatics for GIScience professionals.

The International Conference on Geoinformatics is a well-known annual forum for Geospatial Information Science Professionals. The first was held in Buffalo in 1992, following by Beijing in 1993, Calgary in 1994, Hong Kong in 1995, West Palm Beach in 1996, Taipei in 1997, Beijing in 1998, Ann Arbor in 1999, Monterey in 2000, Bangkok in 2001, Nanjing in 2002, Toronto in 2003 (cancelled due to SARS), Gavle of Sweden in 2004, Toronto in 2005, Wuhan in 2006, Nanjing in 2007, Guangzhou in 2008, and Fairfax, VA, USA in 2009.

The 18th conference will be in Beijing, China. We hope it provides an opportunity for all professionals involved in GIS, GPS, and RS research and development to discuss new ways to advance the theory, technology, and applications of GIScience.

Important Notice

  • On-site Registration and Check-in will be open on June 17th, 2010 begin with 7:30am at The Anniversary Hall of Peking University.
  • In order to guarantee the quality of conference. AT LEAST one author of each paper registered is required to present at conference and make oral/poster presentation arranged in conference programme. Otherwise, the paper will not be inccluded in the final proceedings without registration fee and publication fee refund.
  • The size of poster should be in 90cm of width and 120cm of height. Please do not exceed this size.
  • Oral presentation should be in PPT/PDF file format, and with length of 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes' Q&A.
