Participants are invited to submit original, unpublished research contributions or experience reports not concurrently submitted elsewhere. All abstracts must be 300-500 words long and written in English. They will be refereed for quality, originality, and relevance by the program committee. The first call is for an extended abstract. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be invited to submit full papers to be published in an EI-indexed conference proceeding. Some selected papers will be published in special issues of SCI-indexed journals.

Abstract Submission

Please submit abstracts online by [Click Here]. Abstracts must include title, authors (Firstname Surname), indicating the presenter by underlining their name and providing author's contact details: affiliations, department, full address (street, city, state/province, and country), telephone, fax, and Email.

Oral Presentation Only

If you want to attend Geoinformatics2010 and orally present your research without submitting a full paper, please send a message ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to remind us before 15th May 2010, so that we may include your presentation in the programme. NOTE, you still need register to attend the conference.

Full Paper Submission

Please first download Manuscript Templates for preparing papers for conference proceedings (please use A4 page size). The length limit of the full paper is 6 pages, but at least 4 pages, in the format of template. All full papers will be subject to a second-round review. Please strictly follow the template to prepare your paper, otherwise, paper would be rejected.

Please submit your full paper HERE via using your user name and password that you used to submit your abstract. (Instructions: when you log in, click "Paper xxx" on the top menu, then click "Submit a new version" on the top-right menu. Finally, you are able to upload your paper there. Note: invited authors can directly upload the full papers by clicking "New submission". Only pdf format is accepted.)

Every full paper in pdf format has to be validated before submission. Detailed instructions are below: Click HERE to come to IEEE pdf-express. Using the conference id: "Geoinformatics10x" to register an account. Then, you can convert your Word document to IEEE-compatible pdf file or validate your pdf file. After the validation, you HAVE TO submit the pdf version at conference website. The paper will be rejected if its pdf file is not IEEE-compatible.

IEEE Copyright Form

Please download the Copyright Form, fill it, sign it (your personal signature is required, print name is not acceptable by IEEE), send it back to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it after you submitted your full paper.

Accepted Full Papers

We are pleased to inform that the full papers shown in the four lists are accepted by the GeoInformatics 2010 conference, and cordially invite the authors to attend the conference and present their research. If you want an acceptance notification in PDF format, please send us a message.

If the authors choose to publish their papers in the GeoInformatics2010 proceedings, the following instructions will be applied:

1. At least one author of the paper needs to register for and attend the conference.
2. The paper needs to strictly follow the IEEE template and be IEEE-compatible.
   The authors in the second and the third lists need to modify their papers and to make them IEEE-compatible. Chinese authors may refer to Publication for format modification.
3. The paper quality should be high.
   We encourage all authors, especially those whose papers shown in the third list, to keep revising their papers until we transfer all papers to IEEE after the conference. The revsions should be submitted using Easychair. Note, if the title is changed, please send a message to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If a paper does not satisfy the above requirements, it will be withdrawn from the proceedings. Meanwhile, we will refund the publication fee to the authors.

The papers in the fourth list (paper competition session), will be published in Annals of GIS and the conference will not charge the publication fee.
